She began her employment as a part-time office manager, and upon graduating from Old Dominion University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, became an Investment Advisor Representative.Karrie completed her CFP® certification in November of 2014.
The CFP® certification is a voluntary certification; no federal or state law or regulation requires financial planners to hold CFP® certification. It is recognized in the United States and a number of other countries for its (1) high standard of professional education; (2) stringent code of conduct and standards of practice; and (3) ethical requirements that govern professional engagements with clients.
Karrie’s career began when she joined the U.S. Navy in 1989.She traveled the world in her five-year career with the military before being honorably discharged to continue with her education.She moved to Virginia Beach with her husband in 1993 and fell in love with the area.Her husband retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service in September 2009 and has since embarked on his second career. Karrie has been married since 1993 and has two children.She enjoys being on the ocean, swimming, scuba diving, and is an avid reader.
